High Concept Statement

In 2048 humanity changed forever with the discovery of nuclear fusion.  This was a boon and for nearly 200 years the species flourished like never before.  The advent of boundless energy led to the creation of a civilization unmatched by any thus so far.  Nanotechnology, terraforming, and space colonization were no longer dreams but reality.  Yet, on Nov. 15th, 2145 everything went black.  You awake in a empty, hospital room that appears in disarray, on Mars, approximately 2 days after the black-out.  Your job is to find out what happened, what your connection to the events that play out as you explore, and, if possible, to save what is left of humanity.  By exploring/investigating Mars, a US Army warship hovering around the rings of Saturn, the moon, Earth and defending yourself against those that would do you harm you hope to solve the mysteries that lay ahead.
